Brutus the Bullmastiff is a large, loving and cuddly dog. Bonnie Michalek and her husband have had Brutus since they got it in 2016, shortly after they had a house big enough for a dog as big as him.
Bonnie Michalek, from California, and her husband love their pet bullmastiff Brutus like family—Bonnie said they even call the dog their “first baby.”
Although Brutus has a penchant for destroying toys, it is the most loyal and gentle dog.

When Michalek became pregnant with her first child, Brutus became even more protective of her.
At first, Michalek only thought Brutus was clinging. But when she looked back, she realized he was trying to keep her safe. He must have felt it before I knew it
Brutus is indeed a very warm and playful dog, but Bonnie and her husband were worried about how Brutus would react in the event they were pregnant with their first child.
When the baby was born, she and her husband took Brutus to her mother's home.
Michalek gave Brutus many hugs and kisses to show how much she loved him. She then let him into the room to meet Kayden.
Brutus and Kayden have been best friends ever since, and the dog is willing to do anything for the baby… including sharing his favorite possession.
Whenever he heard Kayden cry, Brutus knew he had to help somehow.. So he started bringing the famously sacred fluffball over to Kayden.
He took his favorite toy to bring it to Kayden to comfort him!
Brutus will carefully carry this toy around his mouth, making sure not to tear it. Brutus really loves this toy.
Brutus and Kayden are a pair of sweet brothers who care about each other.
