Bella, who has been renamed by her new family, was discovered underweight, frightened and covered by a coat covered with fleas by the side of the road in Yalding, Kent on January 28 this year.
Vets discovered she had been thrown from the window of a lorry travelling as fast as 50mph.
Inspector Kirsten Ormerod said her team were "amazed" she survived the incident.
"Bella was extremely lucky to have survived being thrown from a moving vehicle at such high speed and the vets were extremely concerned that she might have internal bleeding so they performed surgery. right away," she added.
The RSPCA has opened an investigation into who is responsible but it remains unresolved.
After returning to health care, Bella was adopted by Gill, her husband Ray and their daughter - a family living in nearby Maidstone..
Gill, who found Bella on the RSPCA's 'pet-finding' website, said: "She's really happy to be here and is always wagging her tail..
"She can be a bit naughty and naughty a lot, but we love her just the way she is."
