The father said, “no,” he did not want a dog. He was opposed to adopting a family pet. Can you guess what happened next?
It is a familiar story. Dad doesn't want the responsibility of a dog. After all, dogs cost money. They must be cleaned afterwards. They have to be fed, walked and trained. Someone is responsible for their day-to-day care.
Sometimes, dads don't want to be forced. Or, maybe they're not dog people. Or, maybe they have loved and cherished dogs in the past and don't want to go through that pain again.
There are a hundred reasons why dads say no. Yet, despite all of the objections, somehow a new dog joins the family….and dad falls in love. Like the besotted owner captured in this adorable video.
Observe the tiny tan Chihuahua in a tiny brown sweater sitting by the side of the sink. Dad wished his lovely puppy “good morning” and pressed his head against the children and said, “I love you”.
Then dad moistened a towel in the sink, while the puppy waited patiently, sitting by the sink. He then tells the dog, “let me wash your face,” before gently washing the dog's face with gentle strokes. Carefully wipe each eye. While bathing, he whispered to his precious dog…
“I’m washing your face…
I love you…
My pretty baby…”
